Orientation September 8, 2024
Religious education registration is open, and we’re eagerly preparing for the start of the year! Orientation is on September 8th, where you’ll meet our dedicated volunteer teachers and get a taste of what’s to come, starting with a delicious pancake breakfast. With classrooms ready and lesson plans set, all we need are the students! Don’t miss out—join us and be part of a faith-filled journey this year.
Nurturing Leadership- A Testimonial
Prior to participating in the Spiritual Gifts Program, I had heard the concept of “time, talents, and treasure” many times with regard to what we each can offer to our Parish community. However, I had never heard of “spiritual gifts” and was rather unclear as to their meaning. This program helps to understand, both in a general and a very personal sense, the specific meaning of each gift. By learning more about “Nurturing Leadership” (to mention just one of the 20 gifts), I was able to discover ways in which I can (hopefully!) use my gifts to help others to grow regarding physical health which I believe helps with mental, emotional, and spiritual health as well. We ALL have “gifts” and this program helps you discover them and, most importantly, start brainstorming about how to use them!

Spiritual Gifts Program
At St. Therese we are committed to helping you grow spiritually. We have a unique opportunity to help you discover your spiritual gifts and find God’s calling for your life.
What are Spiritual Gifts? Spiritual gifts are empowerment of God’s people for God’s work. Each Christian has at least one unique spiritual gift waiting to be discovered. God has designed the church so people can find deep meaning and experience powerful joy when they use their gifts to minister to others.
What is God’s Will for Your Life? By learning about your spiritual gifts, you can recognize your deepest passions and wield the capabilities you have been given. The church is Christ’s body and is most fully alive when we affirm each person’s spiritual gifts and encourage each other to use them.

Archbishop’s Annual Appeal
This year the Archbishop's Annual Appeal is more critical than ever! State and Federal resources have become more and more limited. Across the Archdiocese of Hartford more people need our help. If you have yet to make a donation, please consider doing so. YOUR DOLLARS COME BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY AND PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE MINISTRIES THAT OUR PARISH SUPPORTS. It’s not too late. Your contribution will provide funds to four local ministries: Granby Food for Waste Not Want; St. Clare Poor Community; Pregnancy Recourse Center; etc. If you have not done so, please make a contribution to the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal. Please be aware that the more that our parish gives to the Appeal, the more dollars these ministries receive.
