This Week’s Spiritual Gifts

Servanthood

Servanthood is a spiritual gift that reflects a heart committed to serving others in Christ’s name. Those with this gift find joy in helping with the needs of the church and community, whether it’s organizing events, aiding the needy, or ensuring smooth church operations. Their selflessness mirrors Jesus’ call to serve and is crucial in building a supportive community. This gift can be used by volunteering at church events, assisting in outreach programs, or simply being available to help others.

Mercy

The spiritual gift of mercy involves deep empathy and care for those who suffer. Individuals with this gift often go out of their way to offer comfort, encouragement, and practical help, embodying Christ’s call to show love and kindness to all. They can use this gift by visiting the sick, supporting those who are grieving, or offering a listening ear, bringing God’s love and healing to those in need.

Spiritual Gifts Program

At St. Therese we are committed to helping you grow spiritually. We have a unique opportunity to help you discover your spiritual gifts and find God’s calling for your life.

What are Spiritual Gifts? Spiritual gifts are empowerment of God’s people for God’s work. Each Christian has at least one unique spiritual gift waiting to be discovered. God has designed the church so people can find deep meaning and experience powerful joy when they use their gifts to minister to others.

What is God’s Will for Your Life? By learning about your spiritual gifts, you can recognize your deepest passions and wield the capabilities you have been given. The church is Christ’s body and is most fully alive when we affirm each person’s spiritual gifts and encourage each other to use them.

Diabetes: Part 5 – Complications

The importance of diagnosing and managing diabetes effectively cannot be stressed enough due to the numerous complications associated with uncontrolled blood glucose levels.  The complications of diabetes are primarily related to vascular damage.  High blood sugar that occurs over a long period of time seriously damages blood vessels.  Blood is then unable to travel to parts of the body where needed, causing significant damage to tissues and organs.
